Recently I've been having a long discussion with two Hetalia fans I know on the topic of UsUk; why we generally don't like that shipping, and why it doesn't work. We took into account that, while there are UsUk fan fictions that worked, usually they're not set in the cannon universe. We felt that the UsUk fan fictions that try to pair up England and America, following the cannon of Hetalia, end up ruining what made England's and America's relationship... well special.
